I invented this pattern in the late 60’s to imitate the huge nymphs living in the free stone rivers of southern Ontario. It soon became my favourite pattern for Small Mouth Bass, Steelhead and Trout.

Since then it has been a go to for Trout right across Canada and my first choice for West Coast Spring and Summer Steelhead.

The fly spins when it is sharply stripped so I recommend a swivel a few feet up the tippet. The addition of the Electron Fish Attractor turns this deadly pattern into a fish vacuum. You could meet every Bass in the river using this fly.

All living things with exoskeletons must molt or shed their skin to grow, until the new skin hardens the nymph projects an Electron Field similar to the Electron Field of the Attractor. This allows fish to easily find food and the fly.
