Happy Thanksgiving!

The days are still very warm but getting shorter. Fall is here and it's time to enjoy the harvests of our lands, lakes and oceans. We have a wonderful variety of fish in our freezer and the sockeye is smoked and canned. The fruit from our trees are canned and the blackberries picked till next year. hey I even canned homemade apple pie filling.

The Black bears are roaming around, we caught one this morning shaking a very tall fall pear tree right in our circle driveway. That fruit isn't ripe yet but he's trying very hard to shake that fruit down.

He really should be down at the creeks getting his fill of salmon and go hibernate but the water is warm and levels too low for most of the fish to get through these smaller creeks. Hopefully that will change soon with the rains that are coming this way in the next few days.

I am looking forward for some down time to enjoy all of fall's spender next week and maybe some mushroom picking. Winter Steelhead on the fly will be on the agenda soon enough!

Fall means hunting season for so many. Weather it's that wild turkey, moose or deer your after stay safe out there! Have a wonderful weekend with family and friends.
